Nothing to fear
PNothing to fear is an original stag painting that came from a season where I had to let something go and stand in the uncertainty of what came after, trusting that the ground would hold even when I couldn’t see it clearly.
The stag, as I painted him, carries a strength I’ve come to understand differently over time. He has shed his antlers before. He knows he will again. There is no fear in his eyes, only the quiet certainty of an animal who has survived his own undoing more than once. Layered with gold leaf, painted birch, and fragments of pattern across the mixed media background, this piece sits within a four-painting original animal art series exploring strength: the wolf’s loyalty, the horse’s endurance, the bull’s instinct, and the stag’s willingness to begin again.
As you gaze upon this artwork, I hope you feel that same steadiness. May Nothing to Fear remind you that beginning again is not a loss of who you are. It’s an original oil painting for collectors building a home around pieces with real presence and story, not just decoration.
